Registration Information

The W200 Development Coaches Course: HOTD has been developed to:

Enhance the status of beginning level competitive gymnastics programs throughout the United States.
Establish requirements for certification which will help identify competent pre-team and competitive (Level 1-4) gymnastics coaches.
Provide appropriate skills, drills and techniques for entry level competitive coaches.
Help standardize pre-team and entry level competitive gymnastics teaching throughout the United States.
Provide resources, instructional materials, and assistance at levels 1-4 coaching
Provides Hands on Spotting on all four Olympic Events.

Attire at the Pennsylvania State Competitions

A reminder to all professional members in regards to appropriate attire at the Pennsylvania State Competitions.

As per Rules and Policies, page 13, section D, line 2:

Dress in appropriate attire that reflects the best image of gymnastics. At State meets and above, the coaches’ dress code is as follows:

Athletic shoes with rubberized soles. Athletic warm-up pants or “Docker-style” pants (no jeans)

Athletic or tailored shorts that are of a reasonable length. No holes, tears or short shorts. (Recommended fingertip length)

Collared shirts, business casual shirts or T-shirts with gym logo. (No spaghetti straps, low-cut tops or midriff revealing shirts.) No hats or visors.

Also, absolutely no cell phones on the floor during competitions. Please represent our sport with the respect that it deserves!

Save College Gymnastics

My name is Bobbie Cesarek and I serve as the current president of the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches / Women (NACGC/W). I am writing to you as state representatives of USAG Region 7 to ask for your assistance in promoting our 'Save Collegiate Women's Gymnastics' Golf Scramble Fundraiser to be held the day before JO Nationals, on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Hampton Golf Course in Hampton, VA.

Our NACGC/W Convention always takes place during the three days prior to JO Nationals; this year we've decided to add in some fun on the golf course with a purpose. Some collegiate women's gymnastics programs are in need of financial assistance to sustain themselves. Additionally, we've been thrilled to hear that a few universities are seriously considering adding collegiate women's gymnastics to the list of sports they sponsor; we've also been contacted by a number of private club coaches who are working with the athletics administrations of their local colleges and universities hoping to add a collegiate women's gymnastics team. NACGC/W is planning to send some of its membership to these various institutions to promote the addition of a collegiate team complete with a presentation constructed specifically for that institution. The travel and the technical support of the presentation require finances beyond the association's annual budget. As such, we've undertaken this golf fundraising opportunity to both support the encouragement of new collegiate women's gymnastics programs and to assist those progams that are in need of a financial boost.

As the 2012 Junior Olympic National Championship is being conducted in your region, we so hope that you will join in the fun and play in our tournament as well as encourage your fellow coaches in the state, gymnastics parents and just friends who love to play golf to be a part of this inaugural event. I've attached the event's registration flier and would be most appreciative if you could forward this to all in your respective area. We're hoping for between 100 and 120 golfers to enjoy golf, food and fun in addition to taking home some of our great raffle and auction items.

Again, the date is Wednesday, May 9, 2012 for the NACGC/W 'Save Collegiate Women's Gymnastics' Golf Fundraiser. Thank you all for your support of this event and best of luck to your gymnasts for the remainder of this year's gymnastics season.
