Prep Optional Rules

Prep Optional is a level with-in Pennsylvania.

Scores from Prep-Opt may NOT be used for mobility from one USAG level to another.

If you know a gymnast will compete at the Prep-Optional Level ONLY through out a year, you may register them with USAG for a discounted rate.  If they will compete at any other level 3-10, you must the register them, and pay the difference.

There are NO NEW rules for these levels, however some of the wording has been changed for clarification purposes.  If anyone has questions about these rules, they should not hesitate to drop me a line…..BEFORE the season starts! (janecaruso@comcast.net)

 

NOVICE LEVEL Vault Rule -

The deduction for assistance during the flight ( first flight, support or second flight phase) of a Novice Prep.Opt. vault (Handspring) shall be the same as the level 5 gymnast.  
2.00 deduction for assistance during the first or second flight and support phase of the handspring.
0.50 deduction for assistance during th landing phase
